Wine Exclusive is a virtual store specializing in the discovery of small wineries. Because they are made on a small scale, they may never reach the average consumer, as their offerings quickly deplete among the closest connoisseurs of the producers.
18digital is part of this story since the creation of the first virtual store, which recently modified its design to become the current Wine Club, with the recurring payment the customer receives different wine labels at home every month.
The ecommerce was developed with Magento, which was completely customized from the front end to the back end with creation of several extensions. In the front end we developed a unique template for desktop and mobile, transforming the virtual store into a large showcase of exclusive labels. In the Magento backend, eCommerce administrators use the tool as an ERP, controlling inventories, integrated shipments with the carrier, and full control over recurring payments through an extension developed by 18digital using the Cielo API.
By having the open source Magento it turns possible the development of any resource within a Virtual Store, but it is important to have complete control over the guidelines and rules of the tool to not affect the essential features of the store.
There have been automation system developments for bottle launches, recurring charges and BI tools to reduce store churn.
As usually we do not take our eyes from security and the performance of the virtual store. That's why all safety guidelines have been applied and optimized for the project to be more successful.
